Carolina Asphalt was started in Charlotte, NC in 1982 by Pete Heynen and Rob Carr. We have always maintained a property manager focus; most of our work is for industrial, retail, office, multi-family residential and facility managers. We do not do driveways, and we do not do interstates!

Long-term focus:

Our estimators are trained to think long-term for each job they look at while considering our clients' budgetary constraints. Unless specifically told otherwise, we will suggest the "right" way to approach a maintenance, repair or rehabilitation project. If there is not enough money to do an entire project then our philosophy is to reduce the areas to complete, not the specifications! We would rather do less work the correct way than more work the "cheap" way.

Customer Commitment:

Our business relationship with our clients is similar to the fiduciary relationship between property managers and owners. We believe that trust is very important to a client relationship; the more trust and commitment a client can give us, the greater our commitment will be to the client. Our estimators are experienced and well-trained, and we send them to the properties of our clients who intend to use our services (provided the value of our service is competitive).

We specialize in working around tenant operations for every type of real estate (industrial, office, retail and multi-family residential). Our employees understand the importance of honoring schedule commitments made to our customers while balancing the safety concerns that are so critical in heavy equipment related construction.
